Borland Project Space Residency

This residency explored duration in architectural space – the influence of memory and the potential to design for change – through a series of iterative drawings. The images created carry forward traces of the past in erasures, overdrawing, errors, and eccentric spatial conditions. These arise out of this negotiation between accident and intention, much like designing with existing site conditions or witnessing the gradual evolution of a city. The drawings were progressively displayed along with previously completely works and in concert with discussions about the role of memory and time in the design of the build environment.
