Daily Drawings Composites

These are composites of the Daily Drawing series preceding the Borland Residency and in reverse chronological order. The drawings respond to memories both spatial and personal that are created or evoked on the day of the drawing. They are drawn in ink and pencil, completed in less than an hour, and consistent in size. Each drawing is dated and has a stamp that tracks my level of activity for the day. The seed for the form of the drawing connects to an event, an image, or a space that is on my mind that day. Each drawing functions as a self-contained composition recording the present moment, and it is responsive to the group of images sequentially and across the span of the month. Thus the vertical axis tracks short term relationships, and the horizontal axis traces long term developments.
